We provision servers in Sydney, Australia by default. Other regions can be arranged on request.

Is my data private with OpenClaw?

What do I need to get started?+

Just an email account and a messaging app (WhatsApp, Telegram, or iMessage). We handle everything else. You'll also need a Claude AI subscription (~$32 AUD/month) which we'll help you set up during onboarding.

Do I need any technical knowledge?+

No. The whole point is that we handle the technical side. During onboarding you'll authorize your accounts and link your preferred messaging app — that's it. After that, you just message your assistant.

Where does the server run?+

On a dedicated cloud server in Australia (Sydney region). It's a real server in your name — not shared hosting. Your data stays on that machine.

What can the AI assistant actually do?+

Read and triage your email, manage your calendar, research topics, write documents, check the weather, set reminders, run web searches, and much more. It learns your preferences over time and gets better the more you use it. It can even build new capabilities on the fly.

Is my data private?+

Yes. OpenClaw runs on your own server. Your emails, messages, and files never pass through our systems. After setup, we don't retain access to your server or accounts.

Can I cancel the monthly costs?+

Absolutely. The VPS and Claude subscription are in your name — you can cancel anytime. The $200 setup fee is one-time and non-recurring. There's no lock-in.
